The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Warriors Party

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a wide array of characters, and a exciting storyline including angels, evil spirits, and dark forces expanding in power within the urban setting.

Warning: Spoilers for the latest installment of the new season follow below.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

Episode 3 ended with a huge suspense moment and introduced the premier party of heroes who will separate from the primary party to begin their own adventure, apart from the other two tables.

The combat-focused team features Teor Pridesire (portrayed by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam), and Kattigan (the actor).

Why Split the Party?

With an extensive roster, it was evident from the beginning that having everyone at the same party would be impossible.

That’s why, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Introduction, intertwining the characters’ stories before branching into three smaller tables: Warriors, Planners, and Questers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

As described by the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for participants who prefer a classically intense battle-oriented narrative style where diplomatic options are few and far between.

Initially, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might appear mismatched, but the actions of the third episode show why these five characters are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Why They Must Go

For one thing, the party understands precisely where to head next after a violent opening clash with the antagonists.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose demise initiated the story’s plot—exploited The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, invading Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the rogue, and stealing all the enchanted items to sell off.

The antagonist then settled his liabilities and escaped to a secure base in the northern region, beyond the city, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Individual Reasons

Moreover, each character has a specific drive to depart the urban setting:

  • The rogue, as the companion and closest confidant, desires revenge.
  • Kattigan knows the northern area and warns that it is a hostile environment.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having defied his house’s orders to kill the fighter and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their reputation as key figures in House Halovar could assist the group access areas they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, The fighter swore a eternal obligation to Wicander for his deliverance and will now accompany him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are wanted by the authorities that control the city for a range of causes, making staying in the city too risky:

  • Thimble and The character are known criminals.
  • The warrior and Wicander turned against House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is wanted dead by the family.

This results in them no alternative but to journey toward the remote area in search of the antagonist.

Future Episodes

From the recent installment’s Cooldown, we find out that the Soldiers table won’t be around the following episode, leaving the remaining eight cast members to assemble the Seekers and Strategists groups.

Viewers can look forward to discovering which players will be in which group in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on next week.
